Mineuri

A digital cognitive health platform designed to transform neuropsychological knowledge into structured, scalable and clinically reviewed cognitive activities.

Mineuri combines cognitive training, clinical reasoning, content architecture and digital product development in a single evolving system.

Overview

Mineuri is a digital platform focused on cognitive health and everyday cognitive functioning.

The project emerged from clinical experience in neuropsychology and cognitive intervention, together with the need for more structured, traceable and adaptable digital tools.

Rather than functioning as a simple collection of exercises, Mineuri is designed as a system in which cognitive domains, task structure, difficulty, clinical review and product architecture are connected.

The problem

Cognitive stimulation tools are often fragmented, repetitive or poorly connected to a clear cognitive framework.

In clinical practice, professionals frequently need activities that are easy to adapt, easy to document and sufficiently structured to match a specific therapeutic or cognitive goal.

At the same time, digital products can easily prioritise interface and volume over clinical coherence.

Mineuri was designed around a different question: how can cognitive content be organised as a product without losing its clinical logic?

Clinical rationale

The platform is grounded in neuropsychological models of cognition and in the practical demands of cognitive intervention.

Activities are not treated as isolated games. Each one belongs to a defined cognitive area, includes a specific task logic and can be organised according to difficulty and therapeutic use.

Cognitive specificity

Each activity should have a clear primary cognitive target rather than relying on vague categories such as "brain training".

Functional relevance

Whenever possible, tasks should connect with processes that are meaningful for everyday cognition and autonomy.

Adaptability

The system should support different levels of complexity and allow professionals to select tasks according to the person and clinical objective.

Traceability

Content should remain identifiable, reviewable and version-controlled throughout the development process.

Cognitive architecture

Mineuri organises its content into major cognitive domains, with flexible subfamilies and transversal categories.

The purpose of this structure is to create a system that is clinically meaningful while remaining flexible enough to grow as the product evolves.

Attention

Sustained, selective and divided attention, processing speed and related attentional demands.

Memory

Encoding, learning, recall, recognition and working-memory processes.

Language

Naming, fluency, comprehension, semantic processing and verbal production.

Executive functions

Planning, inhibition, flexibility, sequencing, monitoring and problem solving.

Visuospatial and perceptual functions

Spatial processing, visual discrimination, construction and perceptual organisation.

Transversal domains

Areas such as social cognition, auditory gnosis, temporal estimation and dual-task processing can be represented across the wider cognitive system.

Activity system

The core of Mineuri is a structured library of cognitive activities built from reusable templates.

Each template defines a task logic that can generate multiple activities while maintaining consistency in cognitive purpose, format and review criteria.

Template-based design

Reusable activity templates allow content to scale without losing structural consistency.

Controlled variation

Stimuli, instructions, difficulty and response demands can vary while preserving the underlying task structure.

Difficulty progression

Activities can evolve across levels through changes in cognitive load, interference, number of stimuli, time or task complexity.

Clinical metadata

Each activity can be associated with information about its cognitive target, level, status and review history.

Clinical review

One of the central design decisions in Mineuri is that content should not move directly from creation to publication.

The platform includes a structured review process intended to preserve clinical coherence, detect inconsistencies and maintain a transparent version history.

Review status

Activities can move through defined validation states before being considered ready for publication.

Version control

Changes can be documented rather than silently replacing previous versions.

Human oversight

Clinical judgement remains part of the review process even when automation supports content production or management.

Auditability

The system is designed so that key decisions about content can remain traceable over time.

Technology

Mineuri is being developed as a web-based product with a modular architecture intended to support future growth.

The technical challenge is not only to display activities, but to connect users, content, cognitive structure, review states, progression and data in a coherent product architecture.

Development process

Mineuri has been developed iteratively, moving between clinical design, content architecture, technical implementation and quality review.

A major part of the project involves defining systems before scaling content: naming conventions, cognitive categories, version histories, review procedures and publication states.

This approach reduces the risk of building a large content library that later becomes difficult to maintain or validate.

Current status

Mineuri is currently in active product development.

The initial content architecture has been defined and the first structured activity families are being developed and reviewed.

The project currently includes a growing library of templates across attention, memory and language, together with a broader cognitive taxonomy prepared for future expansion.

Development is progressing from content architecture towards a functional product capable of integrating activities, users, clinical review and progression.
